The best time to visit Andaman and Nicobar is from October onwards till May, when the weather remains pleasant and sea conditions are calm. This window aligns perfectly for a Chidiyatapu-focused segment of your Andaman and Nicobar Islands tour. Reasons to plan within October–May: ● Temperatures hover comfortably between 25 C and 33 C, ideal for beach walks and light adventure. Rainfall is low and the sea is relatively calm, supporting snorkelling-like water activities wherever permitted. Stronger tourist season means better availability of cabs, guided tours, and local services compared to monsoon months.
Tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 32°C year-round.
All access to Chidiyatapu is by road; there is no ferry route directly to this point. The area is connected to Sri Vijaya Puram by a well-maintained highway, so reaching Chidiyatapu is straightforward once you are in South Andaman. Ways to reach: ● By cab: Private taxis and pre-booked cabs are the most comfortable option; they can be arranged from Sri Vijaya Puram or major hotels. ● By bus: Government buses ply the route from Sri Vijaya Puram to Chidiyatapu; timings are not as frequent, so plan return journeys carefully. ● By two-wheeler: For an Andaman and Nicobar trip with flexibility, renting a bike lets you explore nearby beaches and viewpoints at your own pace.
