The Untamed Frontier - Overview

Great Nicobar Island, located in the Nicobar district, is the largest island of the Nicobar group and the southernmost part of India. Spanning over 900 sq. km, it is known for its biodiversity, tribal heritage, tropical rainforests, and pristine beaches. The island is home to the Shompens and Nicobarese tribes, and much of it falls under the Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve.
