The Cultural Gateway of North Andaman - Overview
Mayabunder, located in the North & Middle Andaman district, is the administrative headquarters of the district. Situated about 240 km from Port Blair, Mayabunder is less crowded than Havelock or Neil and is known for its beaches, mangroves, cultural diversity, and eco-tourism. Historically, it also became home to settlers from Myanmar and Bangladesh, adding to its unique cultural blend.

Best Time to Visit
- October to April – Best for turtle nesting, sightseeing, and mangrove exploration.
- Monsoon months (June–September) are less ideal due to rough weather.
